Does anyone know what's with the grass on the steps?

Two thoughts... either
1. You have a chimney that casts one deadly shadow right there, or
2. It's like the Calvin and Hobbes comic when Calvin is so worried about monsters under the bed that he pees out the window instead of letting the monsters get even a glimpse of his feet near the floor. You should hire some monster exterminators for sure. :)

You know you've been knitting too long when you look at the close-up photo of your grass and think, "That would make a lovely colorway for a pair of socks!"
